Get to know the shining star of our regional team: Fiona Shales!
With nearly a decade of experience in the injury management sector, Fiona brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Interact.
Her journey began at GIO as an Injury Management Advisor, followed by five years at Tamworth Regional Council as their Injury Management Officer.
Being based in Tamworth enables Fiona to provide in-person support for individuals located throughout the vast area of the New England and Northwest region of NSW.
Fiona’s reach extends from Scone to Moree, out to Coonabarabran; she also offers phone-based services to Bourke and Cobar.
What sets Fiona apart is her genuine passion for working with people in regional areas. She finds inspiration in their positive outlook and resilience in the face of life’s challenges.
She enjoys learning about her client’s lives and supporting them on their journey to good health after an injury.
Fiona’s role has taken her to a multitude of fascinating workplaces, from water treatment plants to correctional centres, varied construction sites to art galleries, and even an aircraft museum.
Each environment presents a unique challenge in effective injury management, which Fiona tackles with finesse and dedication.
Her philosophy on assisting workers back to work is encapsulated in one of her favourite quotes:

Outside of work, Fiona finds solace in nature, whether it’s kayaking down a tranquil river or embarking on adventurous road trips.
She cherishes moments spent watching breath-taking sunsets, a reflection of her appreciation for life’s simple joys.
